What Services Do You Offer?
I provide psychotherapy to both individuals and couples. In my work with individuals, I have experience with many different challenges, like anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, and more. Together, we try to find ways to reduce the intensity of these challenges. With couples, I work to help the couple reconnect and better understand each other's emotional world and find strategies to move forward with better communication. Please note, all appointments are virtual reducing barriers to accessing care.
How Can I Book an Appointment?
You can easily book appointments through emailing me at laellasaffertherapy@gmail.com or through my website. If you're booking through my website, you will register for an account and once registered, you will access the calendar for available slots and complete the payment process securely online.
What Should I Expect During My First Visit?
During your first session, we will discuss your history and current challenges. This allows us to create a tailored approach for your therapy, ensuring you receive the best support moving forward. Each therapy session is 50 minutes long.
What is the Process of Therapy Like?
The process of therapy is different for each person. We start by discussing what brings you to therapy and together we decide what therapy might look like for you. There is no pressure to commit to anything - some people come for a handful of sessions and others stay for years.
Are You Covered By Insurance/ Extended Health Benefits?
Yes! As a Registered Social Worker, RSW, my services are covered by most extended health benefit plans. I will provide a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please check with your individual insurance provider for details before booking your first appointment.

How Does Virtual Therapy Work?
I use secure and PHIPPA compliant online booking and video systems. You will receive reminder emails for your sessions, and be able to log in directly on any phone, tablet or computer to join the call.
How Do I Pay?
I accept payment via the website online payment system or via e-transfer. Payment is due at the time of booking or at the time of your session.
What's Your Cancellation Policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so with 24 hours notice. Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice are subject to the full session fee.
